The Effects of Pearl Harbor
The negative effects were of course all the deaths. There were a total of 2,402 Americans that were killed and 1,282 wounded . The attack from the Japanese targeted the Pacific Fleet of the U.S. Navy. The Japanese raid concluded of two groups, with a total of 353 planes, which were launched from 6 aircraft carriers. The planes were designed to attack the several different bases of pearl harbor. The planes attacked all 8 of the U.S. Aircraft Carriers, sinking half of them, but later on in the war 6 of the aircraft carriers were able to be repaired. They also sank or destroyed one minelayer, one anti-aircraft carrier, 3 Cruisers, and 3 destroyers.
