The War helped end the Great Depression that had begun in 1929, something that all of the programs of the 1930 could not due. It boosted the economy, due to the factor that around 14 million men went to the armed services, so women of the nation had to come together. Most of the jobs were soon abandoned by the men because of the war drafts. Some of the occupations that were left by the men were teaching, nursing, and working in factories.

Due to the American's amazing efforts in defeating the axes, Germany soon surrendered, and no more innocent Jews would be slaughtered, and the war in Europe would end. Also the Japanese wee weakened and the war shortened. The total number of lives saved by the war being shortened is estimated to be 1,000,000. Finally because Japan was already weakened, dropping the bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki forced the Japanese emperor Hirohito and Prime Minister Suzuki to surrender.
